Crawford Hallock Greenewalt (1902-1993) was a chemical engineer and the President of the DuPont Company from 1948 to 1962. He had a passion for the natural sciences, and combined his love of ornithology with photography. He was especially known for his high speed photographs of hummingbirds. Overview
Hans Troschel, 1899-1979, received his schooling at the Bauhaus School in Germany. Before World War 2, he was a teacher of self-expression in the arts. During the war he was taken captive and sentenced to 20 years imprisonment. In 1954 he regained his freedom and returned to Germany where he continued to work and teach. German paleontologist and vertebrate zoologist, Kaup published a great
deal between 1823 and 1871. He presented a peculiar new classification system
for birds which was never accepted. Elected a correspondent of the
Academy in 1848, he wrote of a projected trip to the United States and offered
to sell his large collection of Lepidoptera to the Academy. A list of 4,525

Quinn spent the month of March in 1968 working on illustrations for De Schaunsee's A guide to The Birds of South America.
